Where is the opportunity ?

Human beings have this tendency to look for an opportunity to make money, to get food, shelter and various forms of pleasure. The constant hankering makes them a very opportunistic species. Animals don't have such a hankering and are satisfied with whatever they attain with a little bit of effort. Human beings are habitually dissatisfied with what they possess and they seek more and more.
A man who earns Rs one lakh wants to earn one crore, a man who earns one crore wants to each 100 crores and so on. A man who has one car wants a mercedes and a man who has a mercedes wants to buy a helicopter. The yearning for more is endless. A man's yearning to make more and more money doesn't end until his death. After death, he is dragged into hell, made to atone for the sins committed in his life  and then given another chance.
If fortunate, he gets another shot at human life. Then again he enters the mad race...money ...money...more money.

Most of the intelligent persons on this earth are engaged in making more money for themselves or for the "society". They waste their time while awake either engaged in money making activities, the rest of the time is spent in leisure and sleep.

The world provides a lot of opportunities for such men : business, sports, politics, films to name a few, to make money.

If I stop and ask :  is human life worth such worthless things at all , I might come to be regarded as a mad man.
However,  in the present day world,  99% of the  "civilized"  human beings are wasting their time like this :  working for more and more money.

This is the root problem of the current day civilization.  This is the root problem to be addressed by any leader of the people.  How to make the people self-content and less greedy?
How to make their minds peaceful and undisturbed by the desire for excess?
