A tiger has been moved into Sariska national park from nearby Ranthambore. The tiger is being kept in an "enclosure" and is being watched closely by the forest officials. It has been fitted with a radio collar to track it through the jungle.
The timesofindia reports "Tiger makes first kill". The first three days of the tiger in its new abode are crucial. The forest officials introduced a "young deer" into the enclosure, and as expected, the tiger executed the death penalty on the unsuspecting creature.
The forest officials have found a reason to celebrate : the tiger has made a "kill". How nice!
Think of the poor deer. I wouldn't mind at all had the tiger caught its prey from the dense forests after its due efforts. However, to introduce an innocent creature into the jaws of death at our whim : how sinful and mean it is.
But then human beings are capable of doing things mean and sinful. First of all, they eliminated all the tigers from Sariska. Now they are trying to play God by bringing back the tigers, and teaching them to "hunt".
Human beings cannot play God. As long as they try to , they will only end up causing more pain to themselves as well as to their fellow beings.
All the problems that exist in the world today are due to this simple problem : human beings trying to play God!
They want the rivers to flow as per their will, the snow to melt at their whim, the animals to breed as and when they wish and the crops to yield as per their needs.
So far those efforts have met with limited success but not without severe repercussions.
Global warming, vanishing forests and wildlife, scarcity of water , dying rivers and lakes are just a few examples.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention the fellow religious fanatics who try to play God by trying to implement "God' s will" in the world!
It seems to them that the God, by whose name they swear, is so weak that He can set the rules, but cannot implement those without the help of his jehadis, crusaders, mujahideen...you name it.
